MnO International [Nique]

Nique took its first breath as a Design studio in Melbourne, Australia. Designers and co-founders Nick and Lucy Ennis began designing in the loft of their West Melbourne warehouse. Their first projects included flyers and street art for the thriving local music scene which rapidly grew to include big brands and corporates looking for a connection with the youth market.

In -98 Nick and Lucy began drafting clothing designs that caught the attention of one of Melbourne´s largest local clothing manufacturers and soon after the Designers had their first range rolling of the production line.

With no formal training in fashion, Nick and Lucy had no boundaries or preconceptions to contend with nor were they interested in the local fashion canon. Nique was a brand that reflected a lifestyle and culture and at that time it was thriving. Inner city warehouse parties would attract over 10,000kids and most weekends there was a party, performance or exhibition in the docklands or abandoned carparks of Melbourne.

In those halcyon days, the electronic music scene was driven by those who loved it. Kids were passionate about music, art and culture. Nique is a brands that was forged in those times, a brand for people who loved music, design and all of the above.

Now eight years on, Nique has evolved. Those 20 years olds are nearly 30 and the brand has grown with them. Nique is now stronger than ever with truly dedicated fans who have enjoyed watching the evolution as a new audience who have only just discovered it.
